Multiple-Choice

Multiple-Choice questions are the most common type of testing within the world of CBT/WBT. Typically, each multiple-choice and true/false test item consists of a question stem, two to five possible answers, and correct/incorrect answer feedback. The student reads the question stem and selects the best answer by clicking the mouse on one of the possible answers. If the student selects the correct answer, they will receive feedback informing them that they answered the question correctly and they will be advanced to the next question. If the student selects an incorrect answer, they will receive feedback informing them that they answered the question incorrectly and they will not receive credit for that specific question. True and False questions are handled in the same way, except instead of 2, 3, 4, or 5 possible answers, there are only 2.

There are also some variations to how the questions can be scored. You can give the students one, two or more attempts to answer each question. You can elect to give them credit for answering correctly on the first attempt only, or first and second (maybe) third attempt.
