Equipment or Application Simulation

Whereas the presentation method can show and explain the workings of a component or piece of equipment, the Equipment Simulation method can actually demonstrate the operation of a piece of equipment.

There are two main types of equipment simulations: Passive and Active. Passive simulations demonstration how a component operates. Active simulations give the student the ability to operate the component (a simulation of the component).
