Spence plays the trumpet in the New Horizon Concert Band.

Spence is a Physician and is originally from Dayton and Columbus Ohio and Lexington, Kentucky.

One of Spence's hobbies is singing and he has sung with the Jacksonville Symphony Chorus and the Lexington Singers.
